• The purpose of this message is to inform you that the first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year is Monday, August 24th, 2020!   As we had indicated last week, decisions regarding how instruction would be delivered had yet to be made as the district wanted to evaluate the survey data as well as the COVID count in Renville County.  First of all, thanks to those of you who completed the survey.  We realize the turnaround time was short, but please know it provided the district with meaningful data to assist in the decision making process.  Second, the district will start school on Monday, August 24th, 2020 with an "in person" instructional model for all students in grades PK-12 grade.   The decision to start school in person was based upon the survey data, the current COVID count in Renville County, feedback from parents in the district, and the firm belief that instruction on site is the best educational setting for our children.  We will continue to provide you with information either by way of this alert system or the district's website at http://www.rcw.k12.mn.us

There will be NO direct instruction for students on May 1 and 4 as per orders of the Governor, but teachers will be maintaining office hours as they plan for the remainder of the school year for distance learning.

Please report to the hub in a timely manner!
