PREREQUISITE: Spanish II
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The focus of Spanish III is on expanding present verb tense capabilities, being able to thoroughly describe a past event, communicating what one wants others to do, explaining a daily routine and speaking about the future. Students will expand their knowledge of the Spanish speaking world by watching short films, listening and interpreting Spanish speakers talking about current topics, and reading a short novel. Students will study the lives of people who speak Spanish and prepare a presentation on a specific group of Spanish speakers. As a part of Renville County West tradition, students will study the Cinco de Mayo and perform a play for the 4th grade class. During this year of study, a travel program to Spain may be an option for sophomore, junior and senior students.
